Your Role
Our Air Logistics Semicon team works with top international High-Tech clients in the Netherlands. This means you'll be responsible for exporting these Semiconductor products. As a seasoned freight forwarder, you know firsthand that working with Semicon customers is incredibly challenging and impactful. Kuehne + Nagel is the top player in the Netherlands when it comes to Air Logistics. With four locations in and around Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, our team of approximately 500 people works tirelessly, day and night, 24/7 to manage the international flow of goods. The Air Logistics division consists of two business units: General Cargo and Perishables. The Semicon team is one of the subteams within the General Cargo unit. We're currently looking for motivated and experienced Freight Forwarders to join this team, which specializes in the export of Semicon supplies. In this role, you'll be responsible for handling the outsourced logistics flow of goods from our clients in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. To excel in this challenging position, we prefer candidates with at least three years of experience as an Air Freight forwarder. This is a full-time position (40 hours) that involves working both day and evening shifts, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the vital field of logistics.

Your Responsibilities
- You develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at our client side and generate new (strategic) opportunities with them;
- You have regular consultations with your clients, and evaluate and optimize the export process to improve efficiency, reduce cost and enhance customer satisfaction;
- Quick and quality communication towards customers executed whenever needed, regarding shipment coordination and during escalations - Preparing various documents such as customs
- transit documents, customs clearance documents, and transport documents;
- Continuously and proactively strive, together with your team, for further optimisation of the processes and turn these into concrete plans;
- You identify and mitigate risks such as delays, damages or regulatory compliance issues. Proceed to analyse and resolve these incidents, initiating improvement actions and monitoring their implementation;
- You work closely with your colleagues within our organisation to develop creative and/or innovative solutions to our customer's needs;
- Together with your team, you ensure that all work instructions, SOP & processes are set up and also maintain them, in addition to follow-up /updates of the software systems within your responsibilities.
Your Skills and Experiences
- You have at least 3 years of work experience in a fast paced environment, preferably
- in semicon freight forwarding or airfreight industry;
- You are organisationally and administrative strong, can set priorities and separate main issues from side issues;
- Attention to detail and able to multitask;
- You have a customer- and service-oriented attitude;
- You prefer to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and are able to prioritise and shift gears quickly;
- You have an excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing. Dutch is an asset;
- Strong communication and negotiations skills are present;
- You are available 40 hours per week.
